Community outreach Team

Arrow Web Hospital has a group of three nurses and two support staff who work on community outreach. This includes going around the community and educating people on the importance of hygiene within their homes.

The hospital is looking for a long term donor who can support this team in the good work that they do. The community have requested that they need the team to go round on a daily basis, but this is not possible at the moment due to limited funds.

The Team targets the community in Kayole-Soweto and the neighboring areas. Since its inception in 2006, they have trained more than 5,600 people and have seen great changes concerning disease and infection. The Administration has noticed that the hospital is receiving less patients suffering from infection than before our outreach team started. Joining them often is Mrs. Christine, a nurse and counsellor who assists in creating awareness in the community concerning health matters.

We hope that we will have funds and more ideas from volunteers to enable Nurse Christine and the team to continue with this work.
